Going out to Tamihi to prep for the Spring Newbie Ride...there'll be some work, some riding, 09:00 or 09:30 leave the staging area...anyone else interested?

Just a hand saw for face slappers. Some gloves maybe for picking up blow down and other stuff on the trail.

Yes, dress for success....Hugo Boss. Just picked up some 50/50 Marino/ polyester base layer atmosphere sports 20 % off. Still will carry balaclava. For the skull cap....
marino ski socks do well too !

For those of you not familiar with Tamihi or Neil's idea of fun. Unless otherwise stated it is better to be on a sub 650 dual sport with good knobbies

When the post is designated with this " rWr" means you will be riding to the area that need some work then riding afterwords. rwr's are usually a good time to learn the area and learn some of the guys you probably will be riding with on other events

Brrrrrr its cold here -12 c and the sun just went down. but I got the bike fueled and loaded on the car. ready for an early departure tomorrow morning

Weather looks much better down there

i can bring the fresh ground coffee in the pre heated thermos.
 
I will be in Abby tomorrow picking up my nephews bike then we are going to head over to Tamihi. We will be there to late to meet up with the morning work group but maybe we will find you guys on one of the trails and give you a hand.
 
Whattime is the work crew starting tomorrow? I’m aiming to be there to help and ride. If I dont hear anything Ill show up for the secnd group at 11.

Was a fun couple of day and wow what a turnout of volunteers, thanks for your help. What started as a nightmare of log crossings in now a sweet ride in the park
