3400 k's, 13 days, two tires, three fun loops at the ORCA, millions of bears, 1 huge rusting antique watertruck, 1 roosted redneck, 1 logging truck surprise, 2 rabbits,1 great burger, 1 kokanee headache, at least 10 sunny days, 1 icy lake bath that had me wrinkled up for hours, days of endless brilliant views, some 300+ pics,, heres two.

The best burger ever. Port Renfrew, truck at the side of the road. pretty decent 12 buck wine too.

with a little grin, all Island Hopper said was, stay in the rut, played it straight deadpan, yes it's steep, and yes that is wet packed clay, think sloped ice.

thx guys. yes those Sointula trails are fun, muddy, and Grizzly tracked.
Yesterday I wrote up a little ride summary including pics. only to be informed (by the machine) that I included WAY too many pics. @#ck! -delete.
Here's todays attempt, the short an sweet version.
The Orca was a blast, fun steep rooty trail with some great viewpoints

the secret waterfall, located ##kms. up -----rd. just out of the town of -----. with my escort "Bear".

a "you're not welcome" sign trailside way above the far end of the Nitnat, while hunting for the big Cedar, yes I will die, just not that day.

a, "re and re" (reverse and rebalance) in my sis's garage.

camp along the lakeside of Comox Lk. with no-one in sight. though when I went for my morning dip a curious Ultralight showed up (flew up) causing me to jump in that impossibly cold water, causing a wrinkling/shrinkage that lasted uncomfortably for hours!

my 13 day adventure was graced with great weather, the routes laid out by Island Hopper were easy nuff to follow with my backroads book, and backroads I saw, as already planned I will go back, this time with a more north Island destination in mind.
