Triune Cr Mine - Trout Lake

Anyone out there been up the Triune Cr Mine recently on a pair of wheels vs. 4? Group of 4 of us were trying to get up there a couple weeks ago but decided to turn around a little bit after shuttling bike's across the first slide. It was steep, wet and difficult traction. We were all on capable bikes with varying rider skill level but tough for the best of us. Disappointing after reading an article about it in Rider's West.

Triune Mine access is backside of Silvercup up Lardeau Cr. Kudos to anyone on two wheels getting up there.
Later rides we accessed Silvercup from three different points; Le Beau, Rady and American. No problems whatsoever there.

Did the trail head North from top of American Creek? I dropped down over the other side of American Creek did a bit of exploring and was tempted to head North from the top but it was late in the day (Already was up Rady side) and started to hail/rain.

I was last up up there with 5 years ago with my bro Koots_Roots and 3 other riders for a 5 day true dualsporting trip (On a KLR back then). Another guy from Kaslo on an '07-08' EXC 530 joined us for the day on Silvercup, would that have been you?

That was my father.
I did a ride with koots roots a few years ago up reco.
There is a trail from American creek heading north....but the first climb is EPIC. I rode north to south on the trail. Didn't want to drop in the last slope to American creek. Its the only way.

This ride is still doable on bike, was very fun.The scenery is awesome and the Mine at the end is the icing on the cake. The ride report and information is told exactly like it reads.

Good to know RocketMan. The day we went up it was very wet. One of the four of us was having a lot of difficulty, actually fell over side of the bank which signaled time to turn around. I think the other three of us would have been fine....especially in drier conditions. Triune Cr. mine is going to have to go back on the 'to do' list. There were a few other rides we didn't get to.....its a riders paradise up that area.

Very nice riding area, heard through the grapevine that some guys down in your area were not to happy about the cat being let out of the bag in riderswest mag, lol.

Yeah somewhat inevitable I guess. It is a pretty amazing remote area up there and kind of need to know somebody or get local intel to know where to go. Stopped in at CMH Selkirk heli-ski operation and manager gave us a first class tour and some good tips. Understandibly people just want to keep it quiet. DualSportBC is another way of sharing, to a limit....I am not about to go throw my GPS tracks out there.
