used kl250 sherpa

I am looking to buy a used kl250 kawasaki sherpa thats around a 2001 model and if anyone has one for sale or knows someone that does please let me know.

also, do you agree that it would be a good starter bike? what might be some pros and cons

Fantastic bike.-- pros: nice and light, great on fuel, east to kick start, parts are

avalable,air cooled.:clap:



Cons: not that great on highway-hard to find a good used one.


Also look at a KLX 250S

As a new rider, the big advantage bikes like the Sherpa or XT225 have is a low seat height. If that's not an issue look at the KLX250S. We own one and really like it but it will cost you more.

I have a 2001 Sherpa that I bought for my wife to get her into dual sport riding. She rode street bikes for years and really enjoys the smaller lightweight Sherpa. The bike will do highway speeds but is more comfortable around 90-95 Km/hr. I think the next bike in her future will be a Suzuki DRZ 400, if I can lower it enough for her. Overall I am pretty impressed with the Sherpa.
