Will be doing the Harrison thing tomorrow, and would appreciate any advice. I have gone as far as the camp site before, but the rest is all new to me. Will be at Sasquatch Inn at 10AM if anyone wishes to join up (but please reply first, otherwise the time is just a guestimate).

Not as difficult as I imagined. Even the steep bits were not that bad, the freshly graded deep gravel sucked though at least 70Kmof it in total. Took a few wrong turns, as I only had a vague idea of where I was going. The nice thing about going on your own is that you get to set your own pace and there is less dust (which was intense at times).

Oops! Missed your post yesterday, I went a little later on, on W. Harrison to the top, never ran into you though. Lots of trucks by the side of km 55 or so, some newer, some burnt out. In particular the burnt out on was quite...."photogenic" right?

It was nice to get past the road grading and all the logging trucks further up.

I was a bit late too, left Sasquatch 11ish, than took the wrong turn along the Mystic river (?) forestry road. Only realized it was the wrong road when it ended, there was a nearly new Oldsmobile there in great shape, except for two blown out tires.
After I got back on track, I did see a couple of wrecks at the top of "the hill", a nice blue Ford Ranger that looked salvageable. (I guess that is why our ICBC rates are so high).

I enjoy that ride quite a bit -- done it on the V-strom a few times. I got lost the first time too, & ended up heading toward Port Douglas before I figured it out. I've never done the East side, so that's something to do this year...
