Not quite ignoring but none the less passing road closed signs has proven quite worthwhile in the past, (canol rds., peru, lots of places) so why not today. Even if it is hwy 101, the only coastal route along the Oregon Coast.
Fast forward to presently sipping a local brew IPA welll past that sign. The sign which if adhered to would've forced me through the mtns of Oregon and California into what is trying to be avoided. Fortunately,for moi, there is again a grin on my mug with the local knowledge of the way around what is an estimated to take a year to clear massive landslide.
Temp aside, today was the day they sell you in the travel brochures along the oregon coast just stellar and with some added suspension dampening the twisty roads are a blast. hasta luego senor wallow.
That sign if not passed would have prevented the discovery of the redfish restraunt (really stunning if pricy food) in the little town of port orford and that just woulda sucked! damn good food. darn good day.
And haven't seen a blinking snowflake since crossing the Columbia River.
