This will be a long ride but a fairly easy one, suitable for big bikes and C riders. The plan is to meet at the Sasquatch Inn at 10:00AM Sunday morning and ride up the West Harrison FSR to the head of the lake and then ride west to Sloquette Hot Springs. There are no gas stops on the way so you should have enough gas to take you 140 miles (240KM). We should be back to the Sasquatch around 5:00PM, quite possibly sooner depending on how fast we ride. There will be frequent stops along the way so the slower riders can catch up. This ride is intended to be an easily paced, social ride with the emphasis on a fun day for all.

There will be a section or two where we ride the powerline parallel to the main FSR. The powerline trail is a C/C+ trail and should not be too difficult for newer riders on bigger bikes.

There is a gas station about 5 miles (8 KM) up the road from the Sasquatch so those of you riding to the Sasquatch will be able to top up the tank there.

Post up if you're interested.

Count me in!! Should be mostly over the hangover by the time I get to the Sasquatch. Time to try the great white rhino on something other than pavement.

Interested. I am in Squamish and have wanted to ride Harrison west. I may continue solo to Mt Currie and down home but would love to have company for the lower techy end.

Anyone care to comment on how long the ride should take at a leisurely pace from the Sasquatch to Pemby ish?

You should be able to do in 4 to 5 hrs including rest stops. The slow section is the last 20 km or so at the north end of the lake. Once you get to the head of the lake it should take you about an hour and a half to get to Pemberton if you average about 70 kph which is quite easy to do on that stretch of road.

Great shakedown ride for the big bike! It handles a lot better than I was expecting. Great to meet and ride with you Nadine, Rick and Mark. Thanks John for putting this together as always. Definitely want to camp up there sometime.

Indeed, great ride and glad to see that neck of the woods. Thanks to you guys for the company and help fixing that flat, and thanks to Jon for not blackmailing by posting the compromising photo of the secret bead breaking dance:)

Ya, thanks John for the dust bath ride....That new wolfsnout work well. Does hold the heat of your breathing, will be great in the winter ride season. I think Nadine has the picture of the secret bead breaking dance.

Yeah, a photo of two guys simultaneously jumping on a tire bead trying to get it broken free could easily be misinterpreted. I thought Jon took the pic but perhaps it was Nadine, or maybe they both did. Whatever the case I hope who ever has the pic posts it. I'm sure it will be good for a laugh and a half.

Sorry about the dust Rick. The last time we went riding we had rain, this time it was dust. Sooner or later we'll hit one of those perfect days where it rained the night before and stopped just before dawn.

HaHaHa! It almost looks perverse! That's a picture that has endless possibilities for captions! :D:D:D

That's the "nice" picture that Nadine took - at least I think it was Nadine that took it. Jon took one too. That's the pic I wanna see 'cause it was uhm............. a little more graphically ambiguous than this pic.

Is this the one you are referring to John?? It does look a little more incriminating!! Sorry it took so long, had to figure out the whole photo gallery thing first. Not sure how to make it bigger though.
