ive been checkin CL and KIJIJI, CASTANET and this site for months trying to buy a cheap street legalbike to commute on [for around $1500-2000 bucks] or so till I get my KX500 done up and heres my list:77 cb750,93 dr650,79 kz1000,93 225 serow,84v45 sabre,80 cb900,85 xt350,76 xt500,75 z1 900,83 gs850l,78 dt175,77175 can am...give me some advice,should i buy any of these or should i hold off til spring??? i may go for a smaller, lighter dual-sport this time..- like a goat -herding machine that TIBETANS use[super sherpa]i am still drawn to those great ol street bikes though that run forever with only oil changes and plugs.help me out

yeah,im not into vintage stuff anymore i used to restore emand buy parts bikes and tinkerbut now i like a modern bike that at least has disc brakes CDI and can get parts for easier..i wanna decent older DS[not ancient]but looks like i need another $2K as the average going rate is$4K !!!...im trying to holdoff on restoring my KX5 til i get my "????" bike- hopefully then have $$ left over to do a top end and new plasticsand seat cover andget it ready for the 09 season ....[oooh cant wait!!!] Ineed a street legal thumper for around town 200-600cc[80/20] dirt/ road,E -start,stock condition [old mans bike] for under $2000.00 any ideas????-if not, then ill have to get an older streetbike[boring]i tried to convince my wife last nightthat i should get a newer bike [with payments] but sheson to me nowcause ive spentthousands on bikes over the year$$- instead of fixing the house up[which it needs] i wouldbuy tires or pipes etc ratherthan flooring and new taps...so ill get a fixer-upper thenbefore im eitherdivorcedor shot......... :wi::mad3:

i ended up getting a '93 DR650.................stop laughing........cmon i mean it......hey!!!! dont make me come over there and do doughnuts on your lawn at 2:00am..its stealthy [due to stock muffler] so i can do this...the colors?? well did you experiment with PURPLE DRAGON in your youth??? the bike reminds me of those GLORY DAYS of those rampant drug-addled days of yore...................................:shock:
