Where to buy F650GS DAKAR parts?

I'm doing the spring pre-season maintenance thing and was wondering where my fellow GS riders are getting their overpriced BMW parts - now that Southwest is history.

I need the usual; oil filter, fuel filter, spark plug, clips & gaskets etc.

What weight of oil is most popular out there? 20W50?

I need to replace my tired 2004 battery. Has anyone installed a sealed (dry cell) battery in-place of the stock wet cell battery? Any fit issues?

Thanks All in advance

I have an 07 dakar and have put on a uni air filter and scorpion gel cell battery ($59) (slightly smaller than original but with a small shim..). The battery is nearing its third year with no problems..starts up winter or summer with no maintenance. Also get oil filters for $4 apiece - I think uni is the source. Hope this helps.

Bmw tells me the oil MUST be 10-40. The last change just before fall was done by BMW with expensive oil and i had frothing in the cap which could have been due to winter moisture. I used Castrol 4-stroke motorcycle from Canadian Tire when i changed it myself this spring and no frothing, hasn't burned a drop, and i just rode 2500 miles to and from Hyder Alaska.
