Where to buy the performance mods for a WR250R

Hello members

I'm going to be in the market for a bike next year . I am trying to decide between the WR250R or a DRZ 400 . I like the WR for its more modern engine and front forks , and it looks more like a modern dirt bike . I'm coming off many years of riding Gasgas 300's including 2 Nambotins . But I want to get back into riding , just not super aggressive riding all day , and relax a bit more . Plus the street riding to and from the trails will be nice .

So I am wondering where people get their FMF Q4 and power bomb or mega bombs from . Also the fuel programmers and all the other good to make it all run properly .
I've been looking around and found what would be needed , but the company won't ship to Canada .

Who do you buy from ?

The cost of the goods will be a factor in deciding between the WR and the DRZ

Thanks for any input

IMO the 250 and the 400 are way different bikes.

Firstly I would figure out how much and far your going to be riding the bike on the road vs the trail.

250 more for the trail and vis versa.

Then once you decide then the year of the bike and you can buy after market from local shops or in Canada online a Fortnine.

From the USA, RMATV etc

Once you deicde on the actual bike, you could check out the bike specific forum (or other forums to help decide) on Thumper Talk for more info on mods etc.

Thanks for your response

Being that I used to ride the nasty stuff here on Vancouver Island on my 300's , I like a well handling bike . Even for easier rides and exploring . I am not looking to get back into the nasty nasty stuff , those days are behind me and my body to do anymore . But i need to ride , plain and simple . The passion has never left me . Adventure riding is something that I am open to , and I realize the more CC's the better for longer adventure rides .
I just am a little worried about a heavier bike with so so suspension off road . But I'm also worried about not enough power as well .
My budget won't allow a Euro bike , and I don't want a race bike made road legal , I want dependable .

I suppose I need to figure out some things , I know there is no perfect bike , but if I can make a well informed decision , I can live with that .
Any Inights on bikes will be appreciated

I tend to order from these places:
http://rockymountainatvmc.com/ - sometimes with shipping and US->CAN rate it's still cheaper than local + shipping can be faster than some local shops as they will have stuff in stock rather than wait week for stock to come in...
https://fortnine.ca/ - Canadian (Quebec), but will ship for free over $50
http://gnarlyparts.ca/ - Will have Tusk parts from rocky mountain but free shipping over $100? Website is looks old and functions funky, but it's a local business - prices reflect that - more expensive than two above.

Hey Steve,

not sure if you’ve made a decision and purchased already. I just went through this exact situation and landed on a WR250R. There are a few excellent YouTube vids that helped me narrow it down. Having said that, I just took delivery of the bike and have no personal experience to pass on.
