I'm 5'3". Total lowering was 4". I can get one foot down on the ground with the way I have it set up. Stock the bike is 37", my inseam is 28", so it had to come down a bit. I could barely touch the ground with the tip of my toe (with thick soled boots on) when I took it for a demo.

Wow....that's quite a bit. Does the suspension doesn't lose range of motion does it? It's just raising the forks in the triple and linkages in the back I'd assume.

Looks good, she's gonna try out the new KLX250SM as well...

I bought the Yamalink, which brought it down 2". Slid the forks through the triple clamp to level it out. Also screwed the rear shock mount all the way up, that got me another inch. I also set the sag all the way in, that gained me another inch. It rides real nice that way; I had a buddy who is 260 ride it with that setup, he jumped it and the suspension never came close to bottoming out. It's quite nice with the way it's done now.

I've been busy again! I added an aluminum rad guard, and put in some fly screen.

McGrath Renthal bars and Hot Paws.

No, it's not a nitrous bottle. It's an aluminum bottle that holds an extra 1.5L of fuel, just in case.

I'l be modding the stock spark arrestor and making the outlets bigger until I can afford the PCIII and PC4.:ss:

Kinda looks like the 2 I bought from Crapy Tire.

They had a fine thread to the cap.

The caps lasted about 2 months then thethreads sweled up and striped out

One of them I was unable to get the cap off...the threaded insert in the can started to rotate in the can.

3-L Fire extinguisher would not hold pressure. Plastic top, but not necessary. Take hacksaw and trim handle of and remove inner valve and fill with JB weld. After emptying the fire ext. I cleaned it out with methalhydrate.

More mods!!

Ok to start off with I had done this a bit ago and never uploaded the pics, so without further delay, here is the dual horn mod I fixed up on my R².

Fits right under the antifreeze rez.

More room since ripping out the AIS.

Spliced into existing wiring with shrink connectors and shrink tube.

Fits nicely behind the plastics.

Can't see them but holy crap you sure can hear them!!:tup:

Next was a rad cap switch. Took off the old stock one and put on this flashy temperature sensing one that really works great.

What else....OH!! removed those damn mickey mouse ear mirrors and thre on some under-bar mirrors that won't get hatched if I dump the bike.

I can ride now and not worry about dinging up my discs!!!:clap: Just installed the shark fin and the bumper on the bike. I think these are great protection for the brake system.:tup:

I really like the dual horn set up....an old 1000 I had was equiped with 2 and man they are loud.

I think I may do that with my SE.



Are the under bar mirrors DOT?

I just ask because u can be gaurnteed that if something happens ICBC willuse any excuse they can to deny insurance.

They are UFO dual sport mirrors meant to replace the larger stock ones. They swivel so in the event that you dump the bike, they just move out of the way instead of breaking. I just mounted them upside down.:tup:
