Recently picked up a 2011 WR250R now in the process of getting it ready for the TAT next summer. Figured I would post this as it might be helpful to others. I cant convince myself that it is worth spending such big money on saddle bags and tank bags. I am trying to go my own route and come up with something more economical.
Here is what I have so far. It is not waterproof, but I was planning on just having everything in ziplock bags, or a shower cap might fit over it too.
The bag has quite a lot of space, the underside (the side sitting on the tank) actually comes with some anit-slip material on it so it doesnt move around. Has a shoulder strap with it for when it is off the bike and has tie down points on all four corners. I have to get some backpack straps on there for easy removal when fueling.
This whole thing cost me about $20

Up next I am planning on making some cheap saddle bag racks for the back and then some waterproof saddle bags. Planning on getting that all done for about $100.
