X challenge running poorly

Any ideas are appreciated! It started by idling higher than normal. I went for a ride and then it really acted up, nearly stalled, but I was able to keep moving. Ran OK at higher RPM,s , got home and checked air filter, It starts OK but rev's up at first then rough idle.

check all the connectors to the FI sensors, drain gas tank and inspect fuel pump filters and evidence of water or bad gas. Replace your spark plug.

just a few ideas.....good luck....otg

Maybe the throttle position sensor ? They are just a potentiometer and they do wear out. You do seem to ride more than the rest of us....Scott

Don't worry. It's like back pain. Ignore it and it will most likely go away in 6 weeks. I have had the same problem twice and my strategy worked. Only happens in the winter/cold weather. I agree that it is likely due to FI sensor.
