XR650L striped plug?

I see you have it fixed, I ran a 500 kawasaki triple 2 stroke years ago and one day the center cylinder plug shot out while riding. Odd noise that is. Anyhow I removed the cylinder head, easy to do since each cylinder had its own head. Had it helicoiled and a month or two later it also shot out. I then took it back to the shop and he enlarged the hole and tapped in something that resembled a bolt with threads on the outside and the inside. Said if that didn't hold then a new head was the only option left.
