First of all, lets pick a day (Sat or Sun) and time.

Exstew Valley and Waterfalls sounds good.

If we want more off road time we can head up to Conroy Mountain.

Not yet sure if I can make this one. Pretty early and kids grad stuff tonight so not sure. I don't know why they have this crap when they "maybe" are going pass grade 10. Money grab I guess! try and let you guys know tonight or in the morning. Or heck maybe I'll just show up and surprise yawl. Let me know if you are going for sure so I don't surprise myself!

Why so early chuck? Expecting a work related call??:D

So Sunday morning's ride is to Exstew Falls. I've never been but we're counting on it being a safe ride for Caitlyn.

I'm still open to suggestions for Saturday.

And I don't get it. Grad for grade 10? I thought that grad was grade 12????

Sunday (7th) 10:30 at A&W and a run out to Exstew or somewhere sounds about right - still recovering after last weeks run (LOL) Is it worth trying a dip? - is there a pool? (but I don't want to scare the children!)

I'm still waiting for tires - they shipped the wrong size. Another company now doesn't knowwhether or not they've sent the farkles & widgetsthat I ordered :?

PS - Dragon Boats in Kitimat on Saturday ...but I might escape to Terrace for a coffeeby theafternoon

The yellow route is what I call Mount Conroy, but there may be a real name for it that I don't know.

It's a beautiful ride.

This is my last free weekend until I get back from Inuvik.

Clci on the map to see it in a larger format.

I thought the ride was today, good it's tomorrow, that suits me better. Don't think I will be riding anywhere today. Kermode was up that road Proudman last weekend I think he said he hit snow but can't recall for sure. Anytime tomorrow is OK with me so far!

By the way, I extended the invitation to a friend with quads. He's been there before and wants to bring the kids. My wife'll be joining us on a quad. Can't get her on 2 wheels ...yet.Hope that's ok.

I shall miss yet another ride as I am off to Prince George this morning for work for the next week. Have fun, it looks like another sunny day.

If the Dr is reading this and is still in PG, send me a pm and I will come and visit and bring grapes:hb:

As usual, another great day out. This time more about relaxing than pushing the distance. Good that other family members & kids could join us on the "quads"

A few miles west of Terrace we tried Exstew River ...well, at least I did. Someone has photos I'm sure. I gave up when the water was above the wheels ...and this was just a puddleacross the trail...klrnorth- where were you?The engine never stalled ...amazing!
Next, we wentup Shames Mtn to eat bananas ---> "pretty pic below" (click it for more)

PS- I now know my boots are watertight ...they keptthe waterin all day

Edit - Chuck, Greg...who's got the "water" pics?

Nice pics and a gorgeous day for a ride! While I couldn't join you, I did manage to pry the lid on the coffin to escape for an afternoon jaunt. Kitimat via Saunders and Weedene to Terrace, or almost. Out with a local non-plated DRZ400. Rest stops at Enso and Westlake FS sites. Some morons left their fire smoldering away at West Lake.:shoot: We were close to possibly making connection with where we made it to from the Terrace side until some issues halted progress. For one the 2001 DRZ wasn't sporting enough fuel, even with large tank. Then a minor incident that caused pain and festive drink for vampires. Note to others: Blue jeans are not riding gear and disintegrate easily upon contact with rocks and gravel!! We didn't come across any bridges missing, howver 2 of 3 routes tried had impassable washouts. Need to try the one available route again with another Tanker. 4 hours and 120 Kms of FSR, back home and into the coffin.

Note to self: Bring camera and GPS!

I am not back until late Saturday from a week in PG. My chances of slipping away on Sunday for a ride are slim to none:shoot: But you have to give it a shot.

I will be taking the KLR to Kitimat where I am working on Tuesday of next week (June 16). If any of the gang are up for a ride we can head off and try to back road it to Terrace. Note to self bring the tanker and not the klx. I will be ready for the off between 4 and 4.30pm.

klr north, come and join us. It sounds right up your street:hb:

Next Tuesday is so far away. Kids have some stuff that night but I' can try.

Got out to check out the flooding last night. Man it's deep, actually had to turn around a few times. Got wet...really wet. In fact I near had her balls deep....but I'm not that tall and hang really, really low.:D

Any takers for s short jaunt tonight? Bring the life jackets:clap:

I'm in for the 16th jaunt, the FSR is in good shape. The area where Proud and Chuck sunk in last year is a non-issue. Ironically the dude that I rode with on Sunday was the same 4X4'r stuck and assisted to get you out.

After further investigation, the area where we hit snow coming from Terrace would have been a dead end. I will try the low route around from End Lake extremely early on Saturday. I will bring my Hokey GPS this time and Map and try to disprove the myth that it can't be done, that way we can either enjoy or find another place to play.

Need help Saturday? Fly low and fast and we can do a quick scout, unless you want to take your time that is.

Help would be fun, I'm pressed for time as I have to work that evening and it's the wee ones' first birthday, so low and fast works for me. Meaning also I have to be moving possibly too early for you! I don't have official approval yet and recent abuse of my riding euphoria has me getting invisible hatchets flying at ear level, I'm almost contemplating a Friday later evening inspection to avoid Excited Delirium.

Yes, Steve it was a relaxing day outside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest ...Sunshine. Yes, I said Sunshine!!!

Well, with all this sunshine comes melted snow resulting in swollen rivers. This wouldn't stop us until... Steve got about as deep as he could get without drowning the KLR.

And yet another unsuccessful attempt on a quad...

After no success at getting to Exstew, we decided to go up to Shames for lunch.

A quick rest / scenery stop along the way.

And another scenery shot.

Despite not being able to get to Exstew this time, we still had a good day. Hope to see more out next time.

Wicked photos Chick wish I could have given that river a try!

Mica I am in for a Friday evening ride. Get it out of the way so I can get more crap done. If you are good with that anyhow, or I should be able to sneal out for the morning on Saturday if not.

Yup nice pics. Looks like Steve was looking for potholes to connect the dots to get across. So hard to find them under water.
:Stir

North let's go for a Friday roost. I might be able to leave work at 6:30, puts me at Onion Lake at 7'ish, latest 7:30. Whatcha think, might even have to wipe the mung off the headlight.
