Map has been updated to show routes for both days - 4 options for first day, 1 option for second day:
  • #1 Day 1 (BIG Bike, 4-6 hwy, no 5) - GREEN
  • #2 Day 1 (BIG Bike, 4-6 unverified FSR, no 5) - BLUE
  • #3 Day 1 (Small Bike, 4-5 HWY, includes 5) - YELLOW
  • #4 Day 1 (Small Bike, 4-5 unverified FSR, includes 5) - RED
  • Day 2 - one route for all - BLACK

Following GPX tracks are attached to this post:
  • 2020 Too Long Days (Day 2)_FULL.gpx - all segments + one route (merged segments)
  • 2020 Too Long Days_Day 2_Only_Route.gpx - Only merged route of segments
  • 2020 Too Long Days-Both Days-Only Routes.gpx - Merged segments for Day 1 (4 route options) and Day 2 (1 route option)
For Day 1 only GPX tracks go here: https://forum.dualsportbc.com/threads/too-long-days-june-6-7-2020.353760/page-3#post-354999

THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL TRACK for Day 1, this is my interpretation of route, so use it at your own risk and be sure you know how to navigate and use GPS unit! ;)

Remember to ride with a group and ride your own ride, don't take unnecessary risks, this is not a race. Go prepared, tools, emergency supplies etc. There is no lead rider and no sweep, you may encounter downed tree's or washed out road sections, be prepared.

Thanks, you have made my life so much better, was not looking forward to fighting getting the tracks downloaded off Trailforks and then on to my fussy garmin a piece at a time over the week.

One thing to note on the Day 2 route - the KVR has an unpassable washout around Chain Lake/Shinish Creek Rd. In theory you get off on Chain Lake Rd and then rejoin somewhere around Jelicoe. Guessing it will be obvious.

Thanks for the GPX file guys .Is there a meeting place and a time like we did last year . That is where we make the 5 rider groups ,right ?

I did the math, looks like a 166 km stretch to the lodge. I'm good for around 200 if i behave on the throttle. Have to see if the next leg drops into Peachland for fuel, if not i'm packing my 4 litre rotopax, or I may anyway.
Also you're welcome to join up with us.
Sounds good to me. I’m still working on my fuel issue. But will have enough.

I wasn’t sure about that either. I wasn’t sure if Harrison to Boston Bar was a go or not.

From what I understand at this point it's a no-go - too much snow at the top, it's very unlikely to change, but @Rustic I believe is planning to provide update by the end of week if it's a GO. I didn't include that section in GPS routes, if you got full file it will still have it there.

I don't think there is a public meeting place and time as of now. But you can certainly use Forum and FB to find other riders without a group and form one!

So what you are saying is that if too much snow the event is cancelled or we go a different route ?
I wouldn't mind doing more of a road ride rather that cancelling all togheter.
Everyone input is appreciated.
Thanks

Question is only about "East Harrison - Kookipiki - Boston Bar" section (purple in the map bellow), as that part is questionable due to snow. Rest of the route is a GO. If there is still too much snow we start gravel section on Boston Bar, if miracle happens and Kookipiki is passable we start gravel section on East Harrison.

As mentioned by LagBC the point is just to check Kookipi so riders don't go all the way in and get turned around by the snow, they can simply start on the Uztlius section from Boston Bar.

For those using maps.me or Gaia or similar service that likes .kml better than .gpx

Here is converted file of "2020 Too Long Days-Both Days-Only Routes.gpx - Merged segments for Day 1 (4 route options) and Day 2 (1 route option) "

edit: uploaded v2 with color coding.

Want to join up? I’ll be carrying everything to be self sufficient as well. Commuting from van in the morning but could meet somewhere close to the start of the ride?
Can I join your group ? Leaving from Burnaby .Intermidiate rider on a Wee strom .Anytime on Sat is good .

Hi Russ,
What is the official itinerary of this trip?
Is there an official staging area for Saturday morning? Then we set out with our group following Day 1 .gpx and ride to the campsite that has bunks, mattresses, showers, pool. Saturday dinner and beer and Sunday breakfast and lunch are provided. Sunday we set out again with our group to the finish and then go our seperate ways?
