Nice job restoring the bike. I had the enduro version as my first bike. Used to sand the pads and drum often to keep up the braking power. I wonder now if it even helped. Look forward to the after photos of the 650.

You might be right on that note. A couple I know were up that way a year past on quads. Mentioned that it was steep at points and loose. Either way will find out tomorrow. Oh, want to ask what member's name Adam has. He had that mishap in Vernon and would like to find out how he is. Thanks!

No worries there, it was a propane torch. But I know your concern had I used an oxy/acet torch. The rim is holding up well. Have put just under 2k and is running true.

No salmon to speak of, although I was more focused on the scenery. And after looking at some maps my trek to Norton Lake I had taken the wrong turn at the fork. So just as well I turned around. Another item, it looks like these roads run quite a ways east. Would like to explore these sometime.

Weather permitting, I would be interested in the 28, 29 of Sep.

Success! Took the spokes off and had the rim in the vice. Was able, with a little flame, to get the rim somewhat truer. Re-laced the spokes and about two hours later had the rim back to almost original condition. Still, will order a new rim/spokes for next season.
