Wopper,

I'm guessing that a little power loss on a 530 wouldn't be such a big deal, yes?

I also couldn't help but notice the DT200, the other bike in Claw's stable.

Oh......and I like the saw mount.

No Power Loss, I've uncorked it internally with a bit of internal extra mods, good power now!

a quick note to those that have put on the aftermarket cooling fan on. you need to put a switch to shut off your headlight as i did see some guys with low batterys at the orca run . your battery can not keep up with the fan going full bore.cheers :hb:

Hey Claw,
What tire combo did you settle on? I've finally burnt through the 6 days tire - well not "finally", I think the 6 days means you get 6 full days of riding out of it - I'm beyond needing to replace the rear...

I guess then you don't need to worry about a flat - they run flat don't they??

Any chance you could post a pic of how the rack is mounted under the fender? I remember I had a look at it at the newbie ride a while ago (remember me?), but I've since forgotten.

I like the racks made by Pro Moto Billet the best, but they are spendy. If I remember right, Wopper had a nice brace made up underneath that helped with the load. You can't see it from his pic but it has bolts that go through the fender to mate up with the rack on top.

So I might have to go orange after all. Every one I know has a plate on there bikes now making it kinda hard to follow guys on a CRF 250R down the highway. Although I did ride it on the Coq. from the toll booth to Kingvale last summer.

I got 3 options 1. ktm

2. husky TE or a drz 400.

So my question to you guys with some very nice looking KTM 450EXCR. Do you like em?Could you guys share your feelings on them. I would greatly appreciate it.

Bike shop only has 2 09's left so I gotta act.

thanks in advance.

They are amazing bikes. No brainer. Only other consideration would be the Husaberg otherwise, you'll never go wrong with orange and black!

i own a 09 450EXC-what i like about it is: its fast, light, sounds and runs great,torquey-so you dont have to wring it out constantly, orange color helps visibility on the street, great components-suspensionand brakes,no shock linkage to lube, can motard it[which im doing]wheelies easy, looks wicked, easy to work on,lots NO TONS of aftermarket goodies to mod her up-i use mine every day to ride to work and around town, trails etc..til very recently[icy in the morning]and have had no issues or problems ..ive changed the engine and tranny oil twice so far with good oil[easy] and its got 1000 km on it so far...ive taken it up the POSTILL and it makes off -roading effortless as it just hauls up any terrain or hill no prob..only downside to this bike is the 600 cc engine oil capacity that requires a more frequent oil change but its a race bike so whatever i mean if you owned aracing go kart or moto gp bike you'd be changing oil often as well..as far as a dual-sport ? im dual sporting it- but am gonna buy a street bike for my more longerrides on hwy-i dont like singles on hwy much anyway...your considering a DRZ as well- they are a good bike as well-half the price but you couldspend another 5K to make it perform as good as a KTM so why dont youjust go to VMS and make the dealalready!!! Looks like I've joined "Team Orange" after all.

Went into VMS today and picked up a new 450 EXC. Still in the box till next march.

hey ZO13, Thanks for taking the time to answer some of my questions.

looks like we live pretty close as i am on mackenzie rd on the rutland bench.

Stay in touch and we can join up for some spring time rides.

Excellent, Kelowna KTM owners. I head up to visit my parents during the summer, I will have to bring the bike along and hit a few of the trails up there with you guys.
