Big balls boys insuring for 8 months, don't worry they won't be so big in the later month. I am still undecided...but just ordered a skid plate and some side covers for the new steed. A couple weeks and I should be ready to rock!! God I can't wait.

Yo, Goose, got a new DRZ to pick up, and just got the side covers and skid plates from thumpertalk since they are very DRZ oriented. buck 50 or so shipping and all. I also got a 4 g IMS tank on the way too now, and some knobbies. Got to be ready for our road trip can't wait. It's getting closer now, did some yardwork today.

Looks like your looking for a KLR. Mine I think has a moose skidpate. Loved it. The DRZ has very weak sides so that's why the covers, I don'y think the KLR has that issue.

Twill be a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the guys I don't yet know. Gonna be a great summer.

Just got back and am more than surprised as to the amount of snow on the ground. I know I have a yard under the white stuff somewhere but its a long ways off from needing work. Doing a little bike work on the KLR today, wiring in the GPS and putting on some foot pegs basically getting ready, next weekend I suspect is a good time for insurance....

Hello All,

Went to the Lake this weekend, and I also was surprised to see the amount of snow still on the ground. Had to trudge through dingle nut high snow to get in. The cabin is still intact, with only the luxury bathroom door suffering a casualty, which has been remedied. There was also several beer casualties, one was due to droppage, the rest due to swallowing.:spl:

Drove up the Sutherland FSR at the East end of the Lake to just past Oona Lake but just short of Petka Lake. To this point and beyond (how far I don't know) is plowed and mostly clear with some hard pack sections. Seems doable to me and adventurous.

So for now, I will set the date for the rendevouz for April 24-26. According to the Great Forecasters Easter weekend looks nice, and April 17-19 may be a possibility. If you can't make it for the 24-26 weekend but still want to go on those other weekends, let me know, I'm positive I can manage more than one escapade if need be.

Just a reminder that the Meet n Greet is on for this weekend, weather so far is looking positive.

:ss: PM me if you are going and when you can leave Terrace. Depending if anyone can leave early, we can get the cabin warmed up, ensure that Da Beers are not contaminated and perhaps get the Barbie warmed up!

Is there anything that would work for just Sunday? I work Saturdays but this has me thinking about insuring starting this weekend.

We will be riding home that day if you wanna meet us on the highway, but I think most of our goofing around will be done on Saturday.

I suggest you get the sticker and head out after work Saturday. You could get to the Cabin just as we would be in the midst of getting Stoopid. All you require is fluids and and a sleeping sac (I have a spare if needed). If the weather forecast holds true I could be lured to stick around later or all of Sunday. PM me with an email address and I'll send you the directions.

Unfortunately this coming weekend will not work for me. We have a child performing in the speech art's and I am away with work all of next week.

I have tried to upload some helmet cam footage without much luck. We have to rely on Sat. internet and it understandably has very low upload capabilities.:(

Too bad Kermode...so is the DR coming for sure does anyone know? What time are you thinking leaving sparklr? I don't mind the ride solo if you and the others want to head out early. I will likely be leaving between 2 and 3 probably closer to three, damn kids have no school that day and I can't leave 'em all day alone. Tax season is keeping the better half busy so she can't help me out until about that time.

If DR has to work until five I can meet up with him and finish the trip in dual mode. I am dreading my sore ass....but it will be worth it. Just make sure their cold!!:hb:

I've noticed that there are a lot of KLR's coming out to play this Saturday and Sunday. Would a KTM be able to potentially come out? I have moved back up to Burns Lake for the summer but unfortunately i have plans to head to Prince this saturday and will be back saturday night. If i get the bike out of the back of the truck and all taken care of i would be able to make it out sunday at some point. Could i get a pm as to a final destination and a rough planned route for your return trip home? And ill see what i can do. Only have half and half tires so i don't know how far i can get on them with this snow and wetness out there. Haven't been out on the FSR's lately.

Hey there SPARKLR,

I'm still in for the trip this weekend.I found out this week that my son will be at Music Festival on Friday night (wish I'd known sooner) so I'll have to ride out on Saturday am. Was thinking of leaving with Proudman at around 6am, with possibly a stop in Smithers for breakkie on the way. Will that time work for your plans on Saturday? I received your e-mail with the directions. Should be easy to find. I'll send you a PM. See you then!

Chuck I read your PM first and assumed you meant Friday morning. As it stands I may head out with klrnorth on Friday afternoon.

Tree, you are welcome to join us, anyone, any make, model and year is welcome! I would suggest to attempt to make it out Saturday night, fire and beer is always fun. All you need is a sleeping bag and beer. As for Sunday we head back to Terrace, what time I couldn't say for sure. If the weather holds up I might be willing to hang out later on Sunday, or perhaps just head home Monday AM. Time will tell. Email me with what you're thinking and I can email you directions.

Where is the DR?

Too bad it all seems to be falling apart as the time nears. Frosty out this am, would be a chilly ride at 6. Gonna be a long road ride there too. Proudman maybe you should think about heading with us tomorrow to be fresh for Saturday to explore the area. Or maybe you and chuck should head out asap after the concerto. The fun part should be exploring for the day.

Anyhow as long as you are there to let me in sparklr I will be in, weather is looking trustworthy now, and great:ss::ss::ss: Bring the bathing suits!!

So do you want to meet at the four way at about 3pm sparklr?
