I went and did some test rides today, with the Power Plug in and out to see how the fuel economy differed. Here are my results.
Previous ride
Power Plug in - Tight trails, snow and sand, full on riding - 10kms per ltr
Today
Power Plug in - Road ride 14.1kms per ltr
Power Plug out - Road ride 19.6kms per ltr
So the power plug makes a huge difference to fuel economy, and the bike runs great with it out.
19.6kms per ltr give a range of about 160kms so that matches Toms thoughts.
Neil - Id be interested on your finding on your trail riding with the plug out.
The above figures are all with a 14 tooth counter shaft sprocket.
