December 19 2018 Oakland Motorcycle Clubhouse

We are going to hit the road again tomorrow and head South towards Los Angeles, but before we go it one more trip to the Oakland Motorcycle Club

This post will be a bunch of Motorcycle Club history, these guys at the OMC have a long and interesting history that you just dont see very often particularly in this world of social media. The Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club has a similar history so if you get an invite to their club it is worth the trip. I Joined the Greater Vancouver MC in 1983 after hanging around for about a year. After a visit to the GVMC the OMC decided that they too could build a clubhouse for there members. Below is a short trip thru the OMC Club House

This plaque is mounted on the main entrance door

The OMC has a really nice bar that has old ride pins embedded into the top, real conversation piece

Beer is 2 bucks and pop is a buck, the peanuts are free

Nice to see some food drinks and a place to share motorcycle stories history and it’s future ! Could this spawn an sanctuary for the Fraser Valley...cuz if we don’t develop a plan someone else will ! The motorcycle and trail user is a very like minded group, but still the community is still in need of some excuse to meet and social perhaps partnership as one big voice...will it be passion with a purpose that serves the trails and forest...or will it be influenced by other types of visions of growth and development... Tom and Sharon and all other pioneers of clubs thanks for showing us what’s available out there and also what’s at Risk.
