A well organized event. What an excellent riding area.

It was good to try the trails I have been hearing about.

Thank you, DSBC.

thanks to all the organizers and the fleet of helpers, whatta hoot!

wet, muddy, slippery slimy, what a day to be a newbie, followed by a crazy storm.

I'm planning on removing the 40lbs of vedder mtn. off of the bike tomorrow, there's enuf topsoil trapped in my skidplate to start a garden.

WOW:hr:

I had to work and feltlike a weeniefor not making it, but after looking at those pictures, I'm pretty sure my off-road "skills" need some work before tackling that...

Good to see all the grinning faces, looks like it was a successful event!

What a fantastic Newbie Ride. This thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger every season. Even the threat of rain early on Sunday morning didn't stop you all from coming out. We figured that there must have been 80 or so riders out today. I think it rained during the ride but I didn't notice it. I was having way to much fun.

:clap:Much THANKS to the following groups and people for making the Spring Newbie another awesome event:

Christian Motorcycle Association put on another delicious breakfast.

Tammy and Mike Peters and their helpers BBQed a much needed and very yummy lunch.

A big thanks to all of the course helpers (those guys that had the masculine pink ribbons tied to their arms/backpacks) - Mark, Walt, Tom, Neil, Bob, Mike, Claude, Wayne, Rob, John, Scott. You guys helped a lot of bikes thru a lot of mud and you pulled a lot bikes back onto the trail.

Thanks to XmikeR for sweep riding the main Newbieroute with me. We had a lot of fun.

And of course thanks to all of you who came out and wentfor a ride :bliss:.

There is still some trail work that needs to be done in the area so if anyonewants to go for a ride watch for Tom or Neil to post a work party. The ridingwill justkeep getting better with the more trail that are made.

Thanks to all for the hard work and efforts required to allow the day to proceed yesterday. As a newbie to DualSport BC it was a great opportunity to see what the club is all about. Thanks to Mark for teaching me where a GSA should not go on a wet day - my fault entirely Mark - I'm am (so my wife keeps reminding me) an adult who is capable of making their own decisions. Having said that; if I hear "wet day", "single" and "track" in the same sentence in the future I will be following your other direction Mark. To those that helped me lift the GSA up again on the last 1/4 of "Easy" street(three or was it four times?) many thanks. What a fun day out though my wife has asked I try and keep the bike a little cleaner, it took her over two hours to put a shine back in place.....

Thanks everyonefor putting together a fantastic day. After looking at those photo's I am understanding my aches and pains a little better. It was great to see a bunch of new faces mixed in with the old familiar ones.

See ya all at Orca:hb:

Yeah, I figured I'd take the "easy" route since it was my first ride then on the way back I got mixed in with a group that was heading out to do another run down dashboard.

I knew I was in trouble when I was surrounded by a sea of orange and their wasn't any other color or klr to be seen. What doesnt kill you makes you stronger I guess. It was a fun trail, I didnt ride it as smoothly as I hoped but maybe it was the scenery on the left side!

Thanks to all of you that braved the questionable weather and showed up for a ride.

The conditions were a little slippery than anticipated, but thats why we ride dual sport bikes. I was happy to see so many new faces, and it was fun to ride with a bunch of the old faces. I remember when lots of these old faces were new (lots of them use to own KLR's) Its fun to see the group evolve over the past years. Looking forward to the next ride, but in the mean time, the riding season has started so get out and ride.:hb:

Thanks to all, I muchly enjoyed the ride and meeting some new people... Sorry Dave, for my poor choice in parking spots {sinking centerstand = domino effect} and knocking your bike down.... Getting the 640 through those trails sure zaps the energy reserves, by the afternoon I was a ball of sweat...

I headed out at 1:30 PM and made it home at around 10 in the evening, a real long day...

Once again thanks, see you at the Orca...
David..

Another good ride with a bunch ofexcellent people. Thanks to the organizers for putting it together, and to both sets of folks who prepared meals for us.

The talk of rain far outweighed thereality of it, and it really turned into a fine day as it progressed. I had planned to take it easy ride, but, well, Cheeseburger's a bad influence.

Broken handguard plastics, sore muscles, and a couple withdrawls from the IOU-a-hand-up account, and I would call this one of the best newbie rides I've been on. Thanks to all who made it possible, especially for those patient enough to be riding behind me on some of the gnarlier stuff (and the 4 others it took to pull the KLR back up onto Dashboard).

Your wife should phone my wife and tell her how easy and fun they are to clean
