Enduristan bag failures and vendor attitudes

I purchased a number of Enduristan products, some of which I've found to work well, others not so well. I'm very happy with my Enduristan tool bag, and fender bag. I'm in no way satisfied with the quality of the Tail pack and Pannier topper bag.

Dual-sporting can be tough on gear, but for a bag thats explicitly designed for such activity to fail so quickly, is clearly a product quality issue. I have Touratech and Wolfman bags that have experienced no such failures after considerably longer lives (+10 x the lifespan in exactly the same role).

When I informed one of the folks at the Canadian Enduristan dealer about the failures, they said no problem, we'll refund your purchase, so good on them.
Unfortunately, when they received the bags, they then claimed "I had destroyed them", and stated "I can clearly see it was not the bags fault, but yours." They then stated they wouldnt refund me if they hadnt already agreed to doing so.

So tell me, do those bags look "abused" to you?

They're going to honour the refund, but let this be a lesson in how to NOT treat your customers, as well as understand where there's quality, and where's there isnt.

Hard to tell from the pictures, looks like some dirty bags to me, none of those are in a direct contact with the ground in a fall unless you are tumbling down the hill so they should last a bit better. I like Enduristan stuff but their gear is not very tough and any zippers are generally a bad idea for dirt. Moskos and Magadans for me, no zippers, no laminated fabric in exposed areas, multiple spills, different bikes and still going strong.

I’ve been having same issue. Very first time I went out with my new Enduristan Tornado I put a hole in the bottom of it. Did about 60kms of dirt and the only things I had in there was snacks water and my Giant Loop Fender bag that has all my tools. Spoke with vendor and was informed I need to learn how to pack properly. Haha. Loved telling them that the giant loop bag was so tough and burly it put a hole in the Enduristan bag.
They have said they’ll replace it but will wait and see if I “destroyed” mine too. 2D57B10C-2B9B-4BE5-8646-00EE972E5802.jpeg26701BDE-B18C-4CE7-95A9-6641F14F8171.jpeg

I think you might be a little hard on the company, any bag with zippers is not for off road IMO. Besides they are giving your money back. You should see the size of the holes in my Giant Loop gear.....but I openly abuse my gear. Pretty hard to expect any fabric to last indefinitely as you have not provided how many miles or hours this back has been bouncing around on the back of your bike.

I have many 1000s on my Enduristan gear and zero issues. That said, no zippers on any of it. All roll tops, Blizzard XL bags, etc. 20210725_105230.jpg
