Not much to update on. I wanted to go riding today but everyone bailed on me! :mad3:, I have my anodized blue Bullet Proof Design rad guards arriving next week along with my P3 carbon fiber pipe guard and Cycra CRM Probend hand guards.

Next month I'll be ordering my Safari Tanks gas tank which will give me a total of 16liters. A little pricey though! $650us.

I'll post some updates along with pics with the new goodies on the bike once I get them installed. I still have to get around to installing the Rekluse Pro I have too.

when you bought this bike was it simple to register/insure ? do they just give you the nvis form and insure it right on the spot at international ?

Hey jbrown i niceride if you go join the Husaberg forums and PM Daleo he is developing LR tanks for the new models if you havent bought yours yet. Have fun. The 570 was my favorite bike too but the 390 is next on my list don't need too many big guns.

Shane, sorry for the late reply. I didn't notice your post. When I bought the bike they had taken care of everything. I told them when I was going to pick up the bike and that I wanted to insure it on the spot. When I got there they had a ICBC insurance broker waiting there for me. I had to pay $18 for regy and $18 for new plates.

It was that simple. Have I said how much I love this bike!

maddtrapper, ya I've been following Dale and his company 70degrees Racing. I'm going to buy one of his tanks but I don't want one of the first production run tanks. I'm going to wait about a month after they finally have them in use and then buy one.

I just want to get some feed back from the guys using them before I buy it. I'm ordering one of the new Safaria tanks next month.

And I was thinking about putting in my Rekluse Pro this weekend before I go on the Spring Newbie ride this Sunday.

A little bit, the demo's are already marked down quite a bit over a new bike. I had them through in a bunch of free stuff too. They were really easy to deal with.

Basically $8000 ready to ride on the street. I had them through in some anodized blue clutch and brake covers, frame guards, 2010 cam chain tension. And install a fan kit for free that I already had. Plus I make sure they discount anything I buy. Oh ya and a free zip up hoody and t-shirt.

I should have some new pics up next week. I just got my new anodized blue Bullet Proof Designs rad guards, and I have a few other goodies that should be here this week to go on the bike!

So I was at the Spring Newbie ride on Sunday, and the more I ride this bike the harder and harder it is to get the smileoff of my face. Sometimes I think riding this bike is like cheating. It's just so easy to toss around and change directs. I'm actually starting to think that riding it could be hazardous to my riding, it just lets you be way to lazy and still bail you out of trouble.

I believe just yesterday the 2011 570 became fully certified (i.e., street legal) for North America. The certification was only for the 570 (FS & FE), not for for 450 or 390.

Well I've had the summer to really ride this bike and get a feel for it. And I have to say that everytime I ride it, it puts a big smile on my face. I originally bought this bike with the intention of only really using it for more dual sport riding (mostly off road of course) and keeping my KTM 250xcw for riding tight technical single track (Veddar, Nickelmine and McNutt). Well now the KTM is for sale. I just can't justify having the KTM sit in the garage and collect dust while I ride this bike all the time.
I'm still waiting to get the Safari over sized tank and 70degree racing sub frame tank so that I can start to do alot longer rides. But I just love this bike. I ride alot at Veddar mountain and there isn't a single trail that I find this bike a disadvantage compared to my KTM. It has soooooo much torque and I've fitted it with a Rekluse pro and it's like a cheater bike. Sure the bike is obvisously heavier them my 2 stroke but once you're moving that extra weight just disapears. I can ride this bike longer and harder and conserve more energy that with any 2 stroke I've every ridden.
And the best part; they are official DOT for 2011 (even though mine is already plated)
If anyone is really looking for a great bike that they can dual sport ride but also really ride aggressive technical single track; this is the bike for you!!!!

jbrown15. Found this thread in my search. Just wondering how the husa is holding up? I am a hoping to purchase a 2011 this week. Are you putting in much time on the pavement and logging roads? I have a kx250 that I use for single track and am looking for a dual sport. Is this the ticket to not having to get a huge pig adventure bike? I'm not looking to drive across the country or province for that matter, but to work and maybe 45 min across town to some other riding areas without having to load up. Did you get your after market tanks yet? quality? Hearing of lots of people wanting to venture further on these but still new and not hearing of many results yet.

The bike did a good job holding up fine, but I ended up selling it because I wanted to do more racing. So I ended up getting a FX450. The 570 was a great bike and I even did a HS race on it too. But I just figured at the end of the day the FX450 was better for what I wanted to do. I did put the subframe gas tank on my FX450 and it would have worked awesome on the 570 along with the Safari front tank. Would I buy one again as an adventure bike? I would have to say yes.

Both of my Berg's have been rock solid as far as reliability goes and I've beat on them pretty had so far.

Thanks. Good luck with the racing. I hope I can work out a deal here in town. I can't wait. Took buddies for a ride two weeks ago and was very impressed on the trails. Hope to be able to get out more often and venture further with this bike. Just over hauled the old two stroke last year, so it's tough to drop the kind of money they want for the new one. I keep asking around about the road reliability because if I spend the money I think I will end up living on this thing with the gas prices climbing like they are.

Northerwoods, I don't know if you're interested but International Motorsports still has a 09 FE570 that's in good condition that is already plated and I believe Zach is asking $5999 for it. That's a great deal and I also think they have a used Safari aftermarket front tank that you could get a good deal on too if you talk to Mike in parts!

Thanks again for all the info. Unfortunately in the back of my head I'm still worried about the '09 not spec.d for road use. Because I do want to ride to work and such, don't want to take the chance of being hit or hitting someone else and finding out the hardway what is actually going to hold up in court. It's hard enough to deal with insurance and such with day to day vehicle. Getting anxious my girlfriend quit smoking six months ago, last month passed her learners and bought herself a klx250s with the deference she is saving by not smoking. Shes loving it, I'm very proud of her. Just a little jealous.
