If you don't have MapSource...

....there is a workaround you can use to get mapsource on your computer without the commercial maps.

1. Download Garmin Training Center (google it, you'll get a link)
2. Download the latest update for Mapsource
3. Install Garmin Training Center
4. Install Mapsource.

This will allow you to get a copy of mapsource on your computer downloaded from Garmin's website.
I downloaded and installed the Training Center and Mapsource, however the Mapsource doesnt have a drop down window in which to select the ibycus????? Any suggestions??

Installed ibycus topo and when I open it in my program lists just contains all the .img files but still cant open them as Mapsource says those files are unrecognizable and no apearant way to open them in the ibycus folder....still no dropdown menu in the mapsource update I downloaded as suggested. HEEEELLLPPP!! LOL

Okay, was able to get the Ibycus files opened by dragging the folder of imgs files to the Garmin Program folder.....dropdown menu is now showing and allows me to select Ibycus however the quality of the maps are VERY poor and nowhere close to what most ppl are raving about in this discussion!! Any ideas???

had the same problem, 'til i got the completedownload, make sure ur download is: 3.35 GB (3,602,971,075 bytes, unzipped).

once u have the full download, u need2 run the setup program. If u can't or don't have the setup, then ur download is not complete.

Quality is excellent once u install via setup.
