Make your last tank fill up of the season premium fuel (I like Chevron) and you will have far fewer problems getting started and running properly again after storage.
Could have tried starting it with gas cap open?,something plugged in Exhaust?.Remember seeing a mouse nest in buddies XR airbox once ewwwww.Well,Joker & I took a second look & decided to try a new sparker, but ---- no luck.
Dumped her off at RTR (aka - the dealer)
Stay posted
The plug was looking wet(maybe not wet enough?)
We dumped some fuel in the cylinder and it tried to fire but did not catch and the plug stayed wet.
It was firing enough to get the pipe warm.
Rob.....U DID have the filter out....RIGHT ?![]()
But then he back tracked & wasn't sure the 690's had one - if there is its probably in the tank
Well, the boys at RTR got her running as good as new.
Fuel shutoff solenoid was stuck closed or partially open. I would have never guessed.
Thanks RTR!
Is that an ignition thing so that if you don't have the key you can't start the bike?
