On this(last) weekend trip, our little "Gang of 690's" was 5 of the 6 Dudes slated for the Copper Canyon Mexico trip planned next spring (maybe,,). Missing is Terry from Kelowna here now is Floyd Stu Brent Robin and myself 04klr, though the handle doesn't properly fit these days as the bikes are all Orange now.
Saturday was a 9 hr ride leaving at 830 and almost all on dirt. Keeping current social rules in mind, we maintained acceptable distances and avoided parks with the exception of a travel thru from A to B.
If you're missing a red chevy, it could be up on Long Lake Rd, it's certainly dirty and it may be broken.

At the northern outside of the lac du bois parkland.

a little bigger shot, taken directly towards the morning sun making for a cool radial shadow.

midmorning snack break at Sabiston Lake.

Here's some trick photography with Stu as the first and second rider both avoiding a rock and railing into the turn.

Floyd stole my camera for this shot. Not sure of the good/bad aspect but I seem to resemble that sunglass wearing samsung 5 Emogee.

back in my hand, a selfie view of the Hoodoos up Deadman's Valley.

or a selfie with Floyd beside my shoulder.

Brent and Stu are in there.

Stu, stu stu, in this motion pana.

stark burned off scenery.

Robin in this shot against the rust stained rock face in the background way across the valley of this, and the last picture.

In the area of Texas Creek, our stop for the night with plenty of tent distancing room. With the roaring river nearby there will be no listening to snoring tonite! (or hearing a Grizzly sniffing around the tent)

Floyd, who has been travelling packing a full sized folding camp chair (and all thru central and south americas!) couldn't pass on the opportunity of this left behind "camp" table, of the approx. same scale as his "camp" chair.

With breaky done, Stu with coffee in hand, we head out towards Lytton following the west side of the Fraser.

crappy pic. (bummer), taken a coupla minutes after leaving camp. Stellar clear blue skies lighting up the mountain and wrecking this shot. The bright mirror reflection didn't help either.

Waiting to take this pic. listening to music (sena 20s) I was quasi crouched on the inside of this corner well across the road from my bike when I had this feeling I was being watched. I turned to my right towards the road and stopped right there beside me, was a dodge pick-me-up. The fella driving had an odd look on his face and softly asked, "are you all right?", I had a good laugh and said that in fact I was fine thx.
here's Robin leading Stu towards me, in the ditch.

(I was standing over there just ahead of Brent on the other side of the road)
Both approaching bikes are Brent the departing bike is Floyd in this 4 pic. pana. .

the scenery doesn't suck along the Fraser.

Looks like I've maxed the pic. count for the day, guess there'll have to be another post, bummer. Spoiler alert for the next post! There will be no crashes, flats, or moments that suck! for the duration of this ride and that's, not a bummer.
thx fer lookin.
