this looks like a good spot for an update on the A route for 2010.i hear that dorky's b+ /b1 or what ever he calls the hard one will be a pretty good workout. so not to be out done- we have decided to install a sacrificial alter at an undisclosed spot some where on the A route. we will be sacrificing at least a couple of riders, randomly of course and parting out what's left of their bikes. this should push the A route over the top as harder/more dangerous than the b+. ok enuff of that. We are using alot of 04 klr/wayne's route of 2009. just mixing up a bit of new stuff in the morning half. if your a capable intermediate rider or above on anything smaller than a klr or 6 fiddyL style of bike, this could be the ride your lookin for. if your on a klrish type bike please don't ride the A.unless you want to spend a night in the bush, over the side at the bottom of the loose screw hill! No chit. I'm a pretty fair bush rider, and i prefer to bulldog most of this hill on my dualsport.. Morning to lunch stop in chase looks to be approx 120 km,but it will probably take anywhere from 4-5 hr's to knock it off. afternoon portion should be approx 100 km back to camp-best guess so far. i'll update as soon as we get the afternoon portion sorted out. TA TA FOR now Cactusreid

The B2 is a workout on the 650, the 990 would be torture for most people. Unless you are 6'8, you would have a horrible time. There isn't even room for an ATV to come winch you out in places.

But...I have been wrong before and you might get the biggest steak if you make it back in one piece :D

So what you're saying is that you'll buy me a big steak if I ride the B2 on my 990? A huge thick one if I'm only 5'11???

late breaking A route news flash! Afternoon portion is almost in the bag. a real nice mix of medium tough tight little trails, washed out over grown hills and some logs thrown in for good measure. from chase back in to monte crk is right about 75 km's. 04klr,rosco,flash and myself did it in approx 2.5-3.0 hr's yesterday. it's easier than the morning half, which if it is 30 friggin something degrees on the 14th you will appreciate our compassion for you. so total distance should be just under 200 km. fuel, food stop in chase at about 120 km mark. find your own lunch in chase,as we wont have anything arranged for you. Enjoy ,and remember, individual results may vary!

results from todays excursion, steep, rainy, dusty, cool, hot, windy, poked another rad hose (@#&@#), all in made for a great days riding. (A route morning section)

If you didn't just love this overgrown cutblock, talk to Rosco.

it's hard to make things look steep on film, does this work?

somewhere along the trail.

I have no idea what that means, and I have no idea why he's laughing.
(well maybe a vague idea)

i'm pleased to say- i think we are about done arrowing! i'm thinking a couple more signs may be in the cards though! here's and inside tip for A riders- you will probably want to not stop to long in sunpeaks as the first half of the day will probably eat up 4-5 hr's riding time. afternoon shift is approx 2.5 hr's riding time. also if by some chance, your running low on time or energy in the afternoon-most of the main gravel roads on the right (north side) of the route will drop you down to the trans canada highway, and you can zip back in (with your tail between your legs of course) to the monte creek campground. this action should be considered a hari-kari ,falling on your own sword type of manouver- ie only allowed if your going to be late for dinner/drinks!

Dear most honourable gnarly ride organizers,
I just woke up from a long medically induced coma...and am late in submitting my entry form (neatly printed off and ready to mail).

Will I still qualify for an XXL T-shirt????

"Medical"...."Medicinal".....WTF is the difference as long as it sets up a coma?

And as you say....as long as it gets me a shirt that fits :)
