the last Klr was getting a little long in the tooth for a planned upcoming trip, so Cathouse Willy kindly parted with his very low KM 2007 to fit the bill.
The pic. is the starting shot of my very nice looking bike with the racks, nerf bars, breakaway mirrors, tool tube, centerstand and skid plate on, all the needed mods and many more will be done to turn this into a capable continent wanderer. After two previous kLr's I can say this one handles WAY better than either of the last, whether it's the fork brace, progressive springs up front or the beefy Eibach rear spring (quite stiff) or the combination of, it quite astonishingly, almost goes exactly where pointed, unlike my last 130 thou K's spent on noodley Klr's on and off-road, this one actually handles pretty darn good, and on the street it's almost, (insert shock here) confidence inspiring. The before I fiddle with it fuel mileage is up from the last one with 370k to 415k to reserve , the last klR has a shimmed needle and opened airscrew (punched airbox) and piped, this one has only the opened box, we'll see about the rest, fuel economy is important for this bike.
Anyways here's the "ta-da" picture, it is after all just a Klr.
thx. fer lookin, now get out and ride.
