Kudos to the organizers...it was a great day for a great ride. The little TW got a real workout today; she's got heart, but she's starting to show her age!
I bailed early because I've been battling a nasty flu that hit me early Saturday morning and by the time the ride was complete, I was feeling it...and I didn't think it would be right to share it with all of you.
Nonetheless, it was a good time...wanted to buy a toque, but things didn't turn out...next time, for sure.
Good to meet some new faces too!

good times all around as per usual for a DSBC event. well done to everyone from the breaky chefs, to local shops who helped sponser, Tom, and everyone else it makes it an enjoyable event for all who come.

one of the riders in our little group had a VERY epic ride on his own....but we found him somewhere up on vedder, tired, and a little worse for wear (both the KLR and the Rider lol!)

i will post some pictures after a few cold beers :)

Thanks to all the hard work that the DSBC guys put into this, everyone who came and participated, those that helped rescue my brother on the dead XL, and to those that helped pull my bike off of me after my ***hole aerobatics!

This was my first "community" event, and a well deserved HUGE high five to all the DSBC organizers, and sponsors !!! Really appreciate all the planning and care that went into this. Its wonderful to see such a warm and welcoming group - sharing their knowledge and love of the sport.
:D
Thank you !

PS: Had been curious as to the trails in that area, and it does indeed look like a gold mine of happy trail goodness o'er there ! I will return !!!
(who's coming with me ?)

Okay, so I was a bit resistant to join in on this ride (I'm not a big group joiner kinda gal) but I have to say, I had a GREAT time and I am very happy that soph9 manipulated me into attending this event! Met some great people and had a GREAT ride .... AND .... I only fell over ONCE! Yay me! Thanks to all the volunteers and organizers who made this such a great day!

Thanks to Tom, Mark, Neil, Judy and the rest of the organizers (there oughtta be a list somewhere ..) for another successful event. And you couldn't have picked a better day for it (though if you wanted to make it a little warmer on the highway in the morning that'd be okay)!

Thanks to the sweepers on the B route for helping with my crapped-out battery and particularly to Walt, who towed me back to the staging area when it became clear that the bike was not going to go again.

(I managed to make it home from there without further incident, thanks to all who were concerned.)

What a blast!

Thanks to all of the selfless worker bees and great riding companions. I've wanted to ride Church Mtn ever since my first Fall Newbie. I now feel like I've graduated from C Noob to B Noob.

Thanks again all.

A big thanks to everyone who worked to put on this event. It was truly a spectacular day of riding! Thanks also to the guy at breakfast who lit the spare propane burner so a few of us could thaw out after the ride in this morning.

Had a great time! ..............Couldnt have been better ! .............Got fed! ................Went for a ride with old and met some new friends!............Got back and got fed again!.............Hope the guys on the big bikes made it through Tom's C+ Trails........There were a few HILLS.....Weeeeeee. Did see a guy that hurt his shoulder on a BIG KLX............

Discovered that having a horn in the tight trails behind slower riders is fun!

Thanks to the folks that did the breakfast and lunch! Thanks to Tom and everyone that helped set up the event! I was told there were over 100!!!

I'm not sure who it was, but he dislocated his shoulder! He popped it back in, picked his bike up, and rode back - what a trooper!

And hey, I think you beeped at me when I got hung up on a slimy log, so I let you by, and then we both got stuck behind more (slow-er*) riders right away!

Thanks to the fellow who gave me an awesome push up that real loose uphill! And to Skidmark (and Burnaby Kawi) for the tshirt - the warmth on the way home was appreciated! What an amazing event, and great way to end your season - if you believe in that BS :p

Well done!

Well done!

Yes indeed! Thank you to all the organizers for hosting such a well planned event. The weather was spectacular. The turn out great! The riding awesome!

It was nice to finally meet you Tom! Thanks for the use of the T.P.! ;D

Can't wait to attend more events like this in the future.

On a side note, a word of caution. Watch out for large forestry vehicles! Was coming down the new logging road that went up close to the staging area, 3rd gear, clipping pretty good and came around a downhill corner only to find myself face to face with a HUGE piece of machinery climbing its way up. Managed to slow down enough and squeeze by on the outside. SCARY!!! Could've been nasty!! Whew! **wipes sweat from forehead....and foul smelling substance from underwear**

Thanks again everyone for a stellar day!!
