I'm wondering if the run of the river project at BIG silver will have that route still available for us.... Sure hope so!!
As far as the windy knob east side down. I have taken this route on the 1200 gs.. Had to walk it down the steep decent as you can't turn off the abs to the front wheel990 was no problem, but that feeling of total loss of control sucked on the 'superior' bike..As Tom says, "any one can fall down the hill"
I rode Kookipi last fall and the run of the river project was going strong. If my memory serves me (doubtful these days) there was a new road established between the two bridges that led to the project. The project did not in any way obstruct the old road over Kookipi. In fact the old road's been graded smooth up to the new road (%$@#*). There is also some logging going on up there which has resulted in all the washouts being repaired. If anything I think the road through to Nahatlatch is in better shape now than it has been for years.
