OK! Lets do tomorrow (better weather forecast). I have physio in the morning, but can meet at the church parking lot where Taylor Way meets the upper levels highway in North Van at 11:30, and than ride up to Squamish. Snoop, there is good parking at the trailhead, and we can stick to just the one location so you don't have to load and unload multiple times. We can go slow and stick to the main trails. There are plenty of offshoot trails to keep Icanpopawheeli from getting bored.

Ok, I can meet you at the church beside the Capilano turnoff if I can find it again, at 11:30.

Sorry snoop, hopefully we can go riding another time, there's always eagle ridge or a couple of other local places to go for a 2 hour evening burn

EDIT: MtB, can you confirm by posting you will make it? I'll check before leaving at 1030am

Hey Kirk
Welcome aboard, unfortunatelly I am only free during the day othervise I would be happy to show you a few easy local trails. If you ever can get away during the day (cough, cough, nudge, nudge, wink, wink) let me know and we'll go for a scoot as long as the pain is not too great.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the offer. I'm too busy this week to get away during the day, but next week should be ok. Let me know if that works for you. I'm flexable on the day.

I'm available till the 30th, after that I'm out of town for 3 weeks. Any weekday is fine, if you are located in Vancouver we can head out towards Squamish, lots of variety there. If you are short on time Motorambler showed me a neat trail on Eagle ridge (but it is less than 40 min total).

Welllllll! It just so happens that I am going on one last ride tomorrow before I leave town. I found some pretty neat trails past Furry Creek today (big bike friendly), but ran out of steam before I got to the end. The weather is supposed to cooperate for one last day, before the rains next week. Anyone interested let me know, this should be a good one!

Oh yea ! Be happy to join you, albeit at a slow pace. I've got street tires (stock Bridgestone Battlax) on, will these suffice for said trails ?

Dual Sport initiation !

Dual Sport initiation !

Woo hoo ! Got my first taste of off road madness around Furry Creek, and Squamish ! Mike was kind enough to show me the ropes, we made it to the old power station (Furry Creek), and to the waterfall (way up the old Mac Blo logging road which starts just past the chief before Squamish).
This was only the first, I look forward to many more off road adventures !
:D

Well done Mark. With street tires, BMW twin and short riding experience you handled it like a pro. But be carefull, it is addictive!!!

Unfortunately I'm gone untill the 20th, but check out the earlier posts in this thread to give you an idea of how to find the trail. There is one gate you need to sneak past but no big deal. Just follow the powerlines and you can't miss it.

Adrian?

Oh, and count me in for some of these weekday rides.

I'd be down for a weekday ride. I'm a total newb on a big red pig, but I'm not afraid of making it go pear-shaped as long as I can bend it back afterwards.

Nice!
This is starting to look promising. Lets do a newbie friendly ride. Any day after the 20th (except Saturdays). Furry Creek, Britania or Squamish would work. Lets get the ball rolling, possible dates??
