Bryon,
what mapping did you use for the remap???? KTM or Akro???
I was considering a throttle cam to tame that fuel delivery......whoooaaa:f::f:
From KTM you can only get the OEM or Akro map. And as far as I can tell, nobody else can remap these things. I have the Akro map in mine now. $100 at Holeshot KTM.KTM-Bryon wrote:.... remapping the EFI did wonders to the throttle response. .....I gotta get to Kamloops and get outta 2nd...

Ya, the ignition map switch does wonders. Mine has 3 settings (9 positions tho??) Std is mellow and Advanced is very fun. I haven't tried the mexican gas setting.motoged wrote:KTM-Bryon wrote:.... remapping the EFI did wonders to the throttle response. .....I gotta get to Kamloops and get outta 2nd...

Ged, I would say before you buy a Cam, try setting the MAP switch - that's what it is there for.
Bryon,
So, how did you open up the intake and exhaust??? Are you talking valves or airfilter box and new pipe?
Hot tires?....Less pressure = hotter tires (more carcass flex)
I would be nervous running less than 16 lbs on those tires on rough stuff (pinch flats and rim dings).... The MT 21's are OK....might put a Dunlop RR 908 on rear when time to change....maybe Metzler Karoo TT on front
Did you just tape the edge of the fan cowling, or did you cut some off before taping edge.....Goretex tape????what's that??
I consider this to be my backroader/gravel-dirt road bike (hooligan in town on occasion) and will use the 450 EXC for single track ....
Are you happy with the fuel range...what do you do for "packing gas"?
Thanks for your comments.
