Roughly how many kilometers or hours does this take to complete? Gas stop? Bag Lunch? Sorry for the questions. I'm stoked \
Thanks,
Gregory.

That depends whichroute you ride. A, B or C.

A/B has four separate loops about 40 km eachwith a restaurant lunchin theShawnigan Lake area or back at the campsite if you wish. Loz can fill you in better about this.

C is about six hours minimum, 300 kmwith gas anda restaurant lunch stop in Port Renfrew.

There are options to bail out early on all routes if you've had enough!

Gord, a scenic ride you could almost do on your VFR!

300 km of paved, gravel, logging roads...some shallow mud on the TC trail sectiion which you can bypass.. depends on weather. A piece of cake on your F650. Don't miss out, sign up now!

Thanks,
Gregory.

We'll be posting some info about the day and the routes soon to help you prepare. As Buck says; for the A / B routes you'll be able to gas up after approx 40 - 50km.

I'm planning on heading out Friday after lunch sometime, take the Tsawwassenferry to Sidney and then take the Mill Bay ferry. Anyobody else planning the same thing let me know and we can meet up somewhere in Surrey or Tsawwassen.

Here I was just planning on taking the boat to sydney and then trucking up the malahat...

I'm up for meeting up, could mean not having to pack the bike in the truck....

I gotta see what my schedule looks like XD

Hey Hoser,
Alex and I are trucking our bikes over on the first boat Friday from Tswassen. You are welcome to stash extra gear in the RV Thursday at my house in Maple Ridge.

Why dowe ridedual sport bikes? So we don't have to f-ing truck it around all the time. if I wanted to truck my bike I'd buy some kick a$$ dirt bike.

So the answer is yes I'm biking it unless there is a freak blizzard.

Thanks for the offer Greg. I'm may be okay but I'll give you call onWed Thursdayas we get closer to the time. I have a drz seat I promised frank on the island I may need you to take.

I shouldn't have "TOO" much of a problem.... looking over my bike I "THINK" I can manage all my gear... it'll mean wearing my off roady type gear on the way out, but meh, small price to pay.

UPDATE:

Yeah, after test fitting my gear to my bike it turns out to be a tad too much for me to strap down effectively (the sides don't want to stay in line with the bike)

Looks like my bike is truck bound this time around

Haven't been to Lander in a long time but this looks like a gas station. Alternetavley meet accross the street cause I know there is a McDonalds there.

Meet just before 12pm or leave just around 12pm to catch the 1pm ferry.

That is a gas station, an esso I think.

Yeah I can be there at that time, no problem

Load your gear on the DSBC bus, then ride over. :bliss:

I've PM'ed Tom to ask for enough space for a garbage bag of gear XD
