Sunday 25th (&/or Monday) - Anyone fancy a run out to Kincolith for ice cream? I'm 99.9% going - I see most folks are away but let me know if there's anyone out there!Leave Kitimat ~9am ? ...Phew, that was a hot run, I burned some oil on that one - literally - level was noticeably down

Last weeks trip: Got wet riding up to Stewart via Cranberry - at least it wasn't dusty! For once had a great run up the Salmon Glacier and over to Grand Duc mine. Then down to Hazleton - tried to find theSuskwa Trail to Moricetown but gave up. Followed Telkwa High road & then Walcot FSR to Houston to see Paul. Then Takysie Lake for a couple of days riding the local FSRs and some R&R. Run up to Granisle (paved) and apparently no connector to Smithers ...so doubled back along Hwy 16 (yuk) - then Telkwa High Rd to Moricetown and tried to find theSuskwa trail againfrom that end...went 15+ km but only found one very overgrownturn off - next was another failed attempt, this timeto find Red Rose trail (noted elsewhere). For most of the the return I was nursing the broken shift lever as shown in photo below (now re-welded) - The bike ran great all week. Now have a few thousand on the Kenda 270 rear - noticeable wear (4-5mm) ...and it squeals like a pig - even on packed dirt.

I think I need a map? I don't get lost, just don't know where I'm going
:D

I put some more trip pics in the gallery so "click" the photo below to see a few more - as usual the order is mixed up.

You can definitely count me in for the Telkwa Pass ride ... when I'm back from The Rock! Hope all's well with you guys and you're getting out on 2 wheels! I'll have to clean the dust off mine when I return if you catch my drift.

Not sure what's up this weekend. May try and get out tomorrow if I can, but I can't say for sure yet. Been almost too hot to ride.

I am heading out later this evening for a ride outdown the Copper river FSR. My plan is to look for a good spot to haul the trailer tomorrow morning and ride with the family to the lake over the Telkwa pass. Then ride back and camp out until Monday.

Anyone want to join us for a ride or a beer after the ride would be more than welcome.

Northie and I did the Telkwa pass last week in and out. It was a blast and a lot easier than I remember it from last year. Nothing on the run last week would trouble a KLR.

I'll probably get drunk and go see Lee Aaron tonight rather than ride:hb:

Tomorrow not sure, I could use a sleep in though. Been going hard on too little sleep the last while. If anyone wants to possibly do the pass tomorrow I could be up for it if I'm allowed, or can get away. We could run into the Kemodei family one way or another. It's a one track road.

Hope to see you Kermode.

due to unforseen circumstances the plan has changed and I will be riding with the family on Monday and 'she who must be obeyed' has given me a pass to blow some steam-off tomorrow.

Let's ride..all I need is the where and when:)

Ok, my she who hates to be called boss but really is unfortunately is not yet home but I may be able to head out about ten. I have a cool ride in mind which I need help with that goes to an old little mine. Tentatively lets say ten and I will post later tonight with more details....IF when she return I am given the pass.

Ended up taking the dog for a swim in Findley lake with the missus and listening to Lee Aaroon from the deck....and still having a few. The lady had to out for a semi girl emergency and will be back maybe soon.

Hope we can go, I need to get out even if it's too hot.

10 works for me. It has been pleasant sitting on the deck this evening having a beer:hb: .The temp tomorrow should be nicer for riding if the forecast is accurate.

Kitsumkalum Mountain can be circmnavigated. Dorothy and I did it.
It has some interesting terrain, from loose rock to deep sand. Some of it seems to be the domain of horses and maybe some quads.
There was one place in particular where a culvert was washed out.
We went up to the old Kitsumkalum ski hill but there's nothing to see there. There was a trail that seemed to go further but we'd had enough for the day.

Yup me and Kermode did it early in th year and had to lift the bikes over a huge tree which must be gone by now. There are some vids and pics of the adventure on hered somewhere. Just missed you on Sat. Did Williams loggingf road way back there. Have to try another road though to try and go further.

I've been out of touch for a bit.
Did anyone try the Rose Mine ride?
We are going to do "A Taste of Terrace" on Saturday, other than that I'm up for a ride.
Leaving for Prince George on Wed for Dorothy's motorcycle class.
