Great rides - Red Sands & Old Remo - thanks everyone - I keep stretching my limits - next time a little more. The apres-ski was most welcome as well. Not many many photos but here's a couple:

That top sectionwas gettingsteep (more than it looks in this photo). Sparklr & Goose ...any pics to post?

Let's hope he doesn't ! Have a safe ride & enjoy the run

Sorry to miss you at A&W on Saturday am. Apparently we were just a few minutes apart.

Awesome day! Red Sands and Hart Farm are definitely FS campsites to enjoy. The mountain climbing and washout dodging were also very entertaining, a few times I had to check to see if I still had my oil drain plug. At the end of the day I registered 310 kms. Somehow several of my photos disappeared?

Bear break before Red Sands, I fumbled too much and missed the Bear shot.

Somewhere atop.

A good turnout and a great ride, and generous refreshments to wash away the dust.

Nice pics guys! Sorry I couldn't join you; promised my son I'd watch his event in the track meet in Smithers. It turned out to be a good road ride ... but I was under-dressed for the weather so a bit cold for me! Hot soup & coffee for lunch helped. Hope to catch you guys next time.

That was a fun day alright, great weather roads guys and beers! Tried to get the new girl up to an old mine yesterday but still can't make it up one loose steep hill. May try again today. So when's the next ride?

May 30 and 31 are my last weekend ops for rides until July. May 30 is my first day off so would have to be a later start for local stuff. But I'm more interested in trying the Kitsault run on Sun 31, or jaunt down the Copper River FSR for the day. I think I'll have to do other weekday excursions to fill the void until July.

I'm off Wednesday but I'm working Thursday afternoon.

If we believe Environment Canada it's going to be a nice day.

How about going to Kincolith?

Let's make a semiplan for a sunday cruise to kitsault. It's epic and easy. As long as it doesn't look like today I can go. Dr, where you at? Try and make this one it's good. We could even run out to kitwanga and meet you for breakfast and head in the back way through the cranberry and make it a loop, or maybe the other way around. Im easy as long as it involves riding and :hb:

I'm easily tempted ...my slicks ;)can do that run ok. Sunday looks like the best weather. Meet & Gas up in Kitwangaand return via lava beds to Terrace. Anyone recall how long the actual Kitsault trail is?I think it was about 120km return? It gets fairly high up there so we'll see if there's still snow!

P.S. last time up there we had loose subframe bolts and a steering head that shook itself to bits (27mm wrench ...mmm, now where can I find one...). Mind you, wedid have full camping load and you've seen that I can't miss potholes :cross:

Semi plan sounds so non-committal. Does that directly translate to " I haven't received formal permission from the Missus? Or are there other factors involved? I'm semi-interested, question now remains as to what time the sleepy heads will be rising from the coffins.:spl:

Seems that Progressive front springs track straight for potholes and stock springs dodge them.:TTT:

I am pretty sure I'm allowed but shit can happen and the weather was more the reason for the semi plan, you know I'm in if at all possible SparKLR. If the DR can't come then maybe we should juts go up and back the nass since the big highways kind of suck compared to that road. But maybe it should be a semi group decision. I can be the deciding vote.

LOL ...it just takes longer to bottom out in the pothole :?. I've ordered Kenda 270's so that I can get out of the holes afterwards...but they're still a week away.

A PLAN for this SUNDAY - assuming its all Kitimat/Terrace riders - Meet Terrace by 08:30 & on the road to Nass by 09:00. If anyone wants to loop via Kitwanga, it's ok by me.
I think the Kitsault turnoff was about midway along Cranberry.

DrBike are you in? Who else? ...otehr wise Sparklr will take me skinny dipping:spl:

You know I'm in too.

If anyone like riding in puddles now is the time. I checked out copper flats last night and she's starting to flood. Went through some nice puddles just deep enough to cover the disk brakes...what fun.

Then went across the highway and found a super fun ATV trail. That is until it turned into a mud bog. I thought I could make it but came around a corner and it got worse. I stopped to contemplate, but sunk it up to the skid plate since it was like the blackest topsoil and saturated. ANyhow finally got a log next to the front forks. laid the bike down over it to get the wheels out and dig the muck a bit with my hands then shoved lots and lots of wood under both tyres before I could run her up the side. It was after many failed attempt that I finally got enough junk under her to get her to move.

Thankfully the trail was a loop and it came out where I kind of began instead of having to go through that hell again.

My shoulders are killing me but I'm home and now I know the bike looks realy really sharp with black rims.

Too bad yawl missed that one, especially you Kermodei....I still own you one.
