Taxguys father-in-law (In Vancouver)gotsick and passed awaywhile we were on the trip so Taxguy left his bike in Anahim Lake and flew to Vancouver to be with his wife & family.

Puntzi Lake Resort....i forget exactly...about $40 per night per person

Anahim Lake Resort....$75 per cabin.....$37.50 each plus tax

Both cabins were great....we did our own cooking....they were clean....motorcycle friendly...great hosts....helped us with routes, local knowledge etc....very quiet locations.

Jim , The west side is in good shape, lots of ranches. Like riding beside a mini Grand Canyon Great views ,you'd really like it. I saw the train that went off the track, it's a long ways down.

I posted a few more pics.

I liked it so much up there that I am going back on Saturday. Will stay at Anahim for 6 days and then we are going to stay at Tyax Resort for another 6 days and my son and I will explore the Mud Lakes/China Head area some more. Anyone want to do that part of the ride again?

You mentioned that you rode toto Bella Coola via Kappan Lake FS Rd.; Atnarko. were you able to get through the trail of did you have to take the main road

That was the plan but we lost the trail somewhere near where Precipice Creek joins the Hotnarko River....so we had to double back and take the road.

Planning on doing a similar route mid July this year, but think we will take the hill and try to climb up from atnarco sans all our gear and back to anahim, maybe easier to follow the route from the bottom up. Backward route.
