FYI - I am planning on staying overnight in Pemberton. A 15 hour day is way to much for me. I think Rob will do the same.

Thanks for the clarification John. For some reason I got it stuck in my head, wrongly, that you were shooting for 80 - 90 average over the entire length. My error.

Will be there @ 9:00 +1 other.

It looks like we're up to 8 confirmed riders now. Fastlane and RZ35027 indicated that they would be going but haven't confirmed yet, which is not a problem as anybody who shows up at the Sasquatch Sunday morning is welcome to join the ride.

The riders confirmed so far are:

1 Chico
2 Farp
3 Old Phart
4 Dragonbomb
5 Rob
6 Chris
7 Steve
8 Steve's friend

If we can average 50 kph for the entire route, which is very realistic and perhaps a little conservative, our travel time from the Sasquatch to Pemberton and back to the Sasquatch will be a little under 8 hours. Allowing a couple of hours for wayside stops and lunch the entire ride should be about 10 to 11 hours (perhaps more depending on wayside stops) plus whatever travel time you need to get from your residence to the Sasquatch and back. The weather is not looking too bad. Agassiz is forcast for cloudy with showers and Pemberton is cloudy with sunny breaks. Hopefully we'll be spared the rain but bring your raingear.

WE WILL BE LEAVING THE SASQUATCH AT 9:30 SHARP. It's recommended that you get there before 9:00 to allow time for socializing and last minute preps but we will be leaving at 9:30 and won't wait for anyone who isn't there by then.

Gonna be a great ride, guys.

John

Hi Scott, It's 102 km from the Sasquatch to Sloquette Hot springs, so the round trip would be 204 km. If you're going to go that far why not go all the way to Pemberton with us. If you have enough range to get to Sloquette and back you've certainly got enough range to make it to Pemberton.

Where is the Sasquatch?

Where is the Sasquatch?

Hey guys. I'm back in town. I'm still interested in coming. I was following Tom on the fsr's at about 90 the day before the noob ride. And I'm comfortable at 130+ on the sea to sky. Just wondering where the Sasquatch is. And If buddy is still taking the highway home I might join.

The Sasquatch Inn is on the north side of the Lougheed Hwy (Hwy 7) about 35 km east of mission. It's right at the intersection of the Morris Valley road and the Lougheed. Ya can't miss it.

Hey guys,

I may pop out for this ride if I can get the KLR all buttoned up. Bobbib, I forget your actual name, but I remember you from the newbie ride! I was the moron that took my KLR on some of the slightly challenging trails. In any case, John, if you're concerned about skill level, I can vouch for Bobbib. He'll be fine on this ride.

Put me on the "maybe" list. I understand your agenda and itinerary. If I'm not there when you guys take off, so be it, but don't be surprised if I do show up for this one.

Still hoping to do this ride weather permitting... taking the KTM640 this time. If I don't truck my bike out I'll ride there from North Van and may then do the Sea to Sky back home from Pemberton

Fastlane ;

You will not be the only one coming home down the Sea to Sky. Rob and myself plan to do the same, seeing as we live on the coast. It's an extra 1.5 hrs of riding for me to get back home from the Sasquatch Inn.
