First time out on a real trail ride. Ridiing an ancient TT250 with updated suspension. I used to ride in the dirt when I was a kid, but alas only sporadically over the last 30 years. Road raced successfully for a few years. So its B for me. Middle-aged, out of shape, and on an old slow bike. Whats the worst that can happen?

Question: The B route is 35 km loop? TT 250 tank should cover that no problem.

Unfortunately I have to pull the pin. My scheduled day off is now re-scheduled so while you people are enjoying the crisp fall air and riding your butts off I'll be toiling in the salt mines. Have fun, looks like I'll see you for the big spring ride.

I am leaving friday for the campsite, Chances are I can not answer any more questions as I have limited internet.

Bring your questions Sunday morning and you will have answers, otherwise post here and like all things on the internet you will get an answer, who knows if it will be right?

Weather is going to be fantastic for this last ride of the year.

I've been having some issues with the TW lately, but since receiving a new part, I thought I had things beat so I took her for a test drive yesterday. In hindsight, maybe choosing the Borden Creek FSR wasn't the best idea...
Coming home along Chwk Lk rd, I hit a bump in the road and suddenly I was in neutral....no gears! Turns out, a stick that I picked up along the FSR had wedged itself into the swingarm and when I hit the bump in the road, it jammed into my sprocket and de-railed the chain. When I got home, I adjusted the chain but something didn't sound right, so I thought I might have ruined the output bearing...on TW's you have to remove the left engine case to change sprockets/service the bearing, so I was into that for a few hours - working in the dark by the time I was finished. Oil change, chain cleaning and lubing...we're all set for tomorrow!

This morning, as I go to load her into the truck...the rear is FLAT. The rear tire on these is a 180/80 x 14...which means I'm going to have a helluva time repairing it. After all the crap I went through with the initial problem, then replacing the bearing last night...this broke my spirit...there's no way I could get this fixed in time.

In other words...have a great ride...this is the second time we've missed the Fall ride, and this one had the promise of a good one, with the weather co-operating and all!
See you all at the Spring ride.

Damn.

Just got in - big smile on my face still.

Big thanks to James (Pocket_Rocket?), Mark, and Mike for the company. 1 Suzuki, 2 KLRs, and a KTM - felt like we had our own little motorcycle UN there!

Thanks to Tom and co for all the great setup - as always. Bravo!

Excellent Ride, thanks for all the work you guys did in putting this on.
i'm glad I put new tires on the bike prior to this ride. The hard B was a hard ride, but I was able to clear all sections.

Perfect day. Great work on the trails.

I'd be interested to know how to conquer the long, steep, loose gravel hill in the A section. Looks like few bikes made it half way but I think there was only a couple of tracks at the top.

I guess you need a lot of speed in the right gear.

Had a good ride today!

Thank you to all the organizers for the hard work putting on this event!

Once again, THANKS A BUNCH...! to all of you who helped organize this event. You even had a good hand in the weather since it was better in Chilliwack than back in Langley for the day. It was great to see everyone again with their old & new rides.
