Looking forward to the 2010 ORCA ascheck is in the mail for the C route.

I have a R1200gs and my riding bud aDL1000 and often ride on 4x4 roads and easy ATV wide tracks here in the states. Only resistance tosuch tracks arefrequent lifting of our bikes over logs and intense mud and sand.

After we arrive andtalk to others about the B route are there opportunities toswitch or are we locked in to C?

You can switch at anytime once you get your head around the routes and how they intertwine and the terrain for each. There will be a briefing for riders on the morning and lots of opportunity for gathering local knowledge. For a description of the rating system see page 1 of this thread. Not long now:hf:

Just before the event, every registered rider will get all three routes emailed to download, print and bring along.
That way you can switch between A, B and C at the last minute.

Route sheets are not available at the site so be sure to print and bring with you.

thats good to know.. I wasn't sure if it was only worded differently and if I needed a notary. consent forms and release waivers that i have seen normally do not have a spot for witness.

At least you are filling out a waiver! It's surprising how many riders have mailed in entries without cheques, without waivers, without signed waivers, without witnessed waivers... or in some cases waivers but no entry form!

so if the fee is 40 per entry...is that Canadian Dollars? I want to save my 15 cents! lol. I suppose I could consider it a small donation.

also, if i dont have the license plate number for 1 of the bikes currently, is it ok to submit the registation without it? It's fully registered etc.

Yeah go ahead and submit it. As long as its plated for the event. 40 us or cdn, its about par now anyway.

thanks for the answers. yes they are both good to go. I actually ended up calling my brother-in-law borrowing the bike this week to ask what the plates were. hope it gets to ya'll up there by your deadline :cool:

I sent in my reg a week and a half ago and have had no response as yet. I sent Kiwi a pm but no reply. Can anyone here tell me if my reg has been received? I really don't want to miss out on this.

submitted our registration on thursday or friday last week, I hope it finds you soon! :) If I don't have a rollchart holder or gps, will I end up being lost? Should I find someone to ride with that does have one of these? Planning on C route.

It's best to have your own route sheets, in case your following someone that is lost or you end up alone. :shock:

I don't use an actual rollchart holder...

Here's what I do: Put the route sheets in a big ziplock bag, with the opening at the bottom. Secure the top to the handle bars with tape. Secure the bottom (so it can be removed easily) to the tank with a peice of tape so it doesn't get caught in the wind but you can still open it up to change the pages.

Always works for me. :) I ride the B route this way.. This method for the C route should be a cinch. Or if you have a tank bag, use that.
