Looks like Tom can stay home Sunday - PacBMW will be leading the ride! :))):

But seriously, I can't wait for next week! Was out putt-putting around the hood today in the sun and it felt great. Let's cross our fingers for good weather.

Sounds like a good reason to get re-insured.

See you there.

I'll be there, just got my new side covers in the mail today.... I'm almost hesitant to put them on the bike cause they are so shiny and not scratched...:)

Hey folks... New to the group and can't wait to get out there.. not sure how many folks are on the bigger adventure bikes????

Waiting for a german brand of knobbies to be available then I'll be better able to keep up with the dualies!

Count me in for the Chilliwack ride as long as I can make it there without having to grow gills.

Hi Mark,

I'll be headin out from our neck of the woods...so we can go out there together, and I might be meeting up with some others as well.
I did the ride last fall and I don't think you should have any problems, esp. with the new treads.
Have you gotten a skid plate on your bike yet? Maybe I can lend you the MotoOverland proto. if you are worried about damage...I'll have to see...

BTW, how do you insure bikes?

Through ICBC or other "third party" insurance companies?

I'm going to make my way out to see you guys even if it's just for breakfast. We're still making the crashbars and skidplate for the Multistrada so I'm not sure if I should go crazy with the bike just yet. Plus, since it's a Sunday I'll have a passenger so Off-roading may not be the best idea.

Any pictures from last years ride so those of us with semi-street bikes can judge whether our bikes can make it? I did the Hurley Pass the week it opened last year on my Monster, so I'm not adverse to throwing my bike in to situations where it may not be comfortable. ;)

See you guys out there!

I think a Multi or a Vstrom can handle this stuff no problem. But not the above picture. ;)

Sounds great. I think you even brought the proto over to see if it would work with the Touratech bars on my bike. I'd love to bolt it on and check it out. I just hit the 10,000 km mark on the bike so I will be checking in with Pacific Yamaha/BMW to see if I have to bring it in right away. Did some riding on a technical dirt track under the Lions Gate Bridge on the weekend. Man was that a blast. Dropped it in the sand though (wrong tires, etc) Send me an email at [email protected] and we'll meet

have done off road mountain bike for about 19 years. have about 7 years total motorbike years but only road and just got back into it this last year with the bimmer. I did do a bit of dirt biking with it on a small track under the Lions Gate bridge and loved it.

Dammit.... haven't figured out how to quote people's responses yet.. sorry folks if my replies don't make sense.
