Probably. We only arrange for tenting on the main lawn; call Roy at the Acacia and ask - it's their business.

well I assume there will be a place for everyone to park their trucks, and since my RV is a camper on the back of my truck, I suppose it will be fine

If ya get there early you can probably have your pick of choice spotsjust off the grass tent area, no hook-ups same as camping.

Finally a year were it doesn't conflict with memorial or Burn Ride. So cheque is in the mail and cabin is booked :cool:

Hello Rock Chucker,

I am also from the Island and went to the Dead Zone last year. I was a great Ride and well organized to boot.. My buddy and I rode the "A" route and I have to say WOW I was bagged at the end of the day.. I am returning this year and will be taking the "B" route as the "A" route at times was very difficult and I must say I would hate to have been on any bike bigger than my XR400R.. One other note Jet your bike for 6000 feet.. I didn't and I paid for it all day with a studdering bike...

Hi there,

After a couple of years off i will be back in action. If i am lucky i will be riding my DR650 with custom side car.

Whats the width restriction on the B loop this year?

Any chance you will need help with the pre-running ?

It'll be great to ride with you again, Graeme.

Yes, we will need help with pre-rides; likely starting on the Vic Day weekend.

There are several single track sections on the B that really aren't avoidable; regardless of how much difficulty that creates for a sidehack setup, any riders following will be pretty upset.

So we would need to revert you to riding the 'Scenic' route instead.

I'm going to this event, prepping the entry form, will send in as soon as I can.

I'm going to be bringing the camper this time, I can take up to three people, plus gear and bikes with me, I only ask for them to chip in on the gas.

Anyone coming from the Lower Mainland-ish area who doesn't mind carpooling give me a ring.

:hr:The A/B Route will once again test you and your bike. Come and experience the challenges that the organizers have laid out for you this year.:wi:

:woohoo:For 2009 there is a entirely new Scenic Route for those riders that want to enjoy the beautifulness that is Gold country. There will be a minimum amout of pavement (to get you to the gas stop - if you need it or to bail out if you've had enough). Otherwise it's all off-road all the time along Forest Service roads and old jeep trails. There will be a number of options if you wish to try something a little harder along the way. The main route will be suitable for any rider on any dual sport bike.:dr:

I have limited range due to a smallish tank. My range including the spare gas I carry is about 150km. (if its all single track 1st gear way less, if its all easy gravel about 180). Will that be enough for the B route, is there fuel available on the route or will there be a gas drop?

Any info relating to this would be useful. Thanks....
