Final Pre Ride Report "SNOWING on chilliwack bench FSR today" not to worry its not sticking

Because of what is looking like the biggest Nub ride to day, we decided to "Arrow" the route

There will be YELLOW arrows for the main route

Harder options will be marked with BLUE arrows

NO ONE WILL GET LOST

The route will be muddy as they (who are they anyhow) graded the vedder FSR and Army FSR so its a bit of a mess but an ez ride, just muddy.

Speaking of "They" they also blocked the eastern gate of Leumpshin (spelling is wrong) we have two routes around the gate both passable by any size bike and we will have spotters to make sure everyone makes it, now worries:?

The Blue options are short and fun but I would not recommend anything larger than a 650 DS bike with Knobbies. So you over 650 DS bike just follow the Yellow arrows and you will be fine

I expect everyone to take the third Blue option, it is about 1.2 kms and should be a real confidence builder for you who have never been on a single track. We will have someone on the entrance to this option and there will be spotter to make sure you will make it out.

We made a valiant try. My wife was a trooper. We made it as far as Aldergrove, but the fog and the cold were too much. We had left early to be there for the breakfast, but just couldn't make it. I'm sure it will be a great day. Maybe we will try again once the fog lifts, but for now we are thawing out with a hot cup of java.

Algergrove was the end for me too, front tire was going low. Pumped it up and made it home. Guess I will be fixing that while others are riding. I don't think me bike was used to the slab, I have been in the desert for 4 months. Hope all had a great day. Steve

Thanks everyone for the great day! I only put my bike down once... do I get an award for being passed by EVERYONE???? I hope so!

I need knobbier tires for next ride, and maybe a smaller and lighter bike than the KLR.. not that it was bad, but me being 5'6 doesn't help!

I had a GREAT TIME!

hopefully I will be permitted to join in again soon!

A great big thank you to Tom and all his spotters and trail-marking assistants - you made it an easy day to follow the trail and to be able to concentrate on the learning of how to ride in the mud!
